Got there only to have a look first as I intended to go to the estuary and found 3 windsurfers out including steve and a few kite surfers out. Decided to give it a go for the first time in the choppy sea and riged my 5.3 and Mistral Stinger that I had never used before. At times I was well powered up and other times sinking. It was good fun once I got going but it was impossible for me to get out the back as the white water was nailing me all the time. I managed 1 or 2 unintentional jumps and I kept spinning out all the time after side slipping for 20 metres or so. Steve's UV joint went so he had to ditch his rig a couple of 100 metres out so had to do the long [paddle back to the beach. His rig turned up a few hours later after low tide.
